So what is EFT?

EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique to give it its full name has been around for over 30 years and is really great at helping people overcome lots of issues, not only emotional but physical too!

With EFT you tap on the ends of certain meridian points on your head and top of your body.  It's the same ones traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture uses, but we don’t use needles!! 

When you use EFT as a stress relief you're tapping on the EFT points, which activates  energy points just under your skin. This sends an electrical signal to your brain telling it to calm down – this happens in seconds! 

It's really gentle and works with your body's energy flow.  The body, like everything in the universe is made up of energy.  So, when the energy in your body gets blocked, emotional, and physical issues are created. 

That all sounds woo woo and a bit out there, but it’s backed up by lots of serious medical studies that prove how effective EFT it is.

You may have heard EFT being called "Tapping", that's because you tap with your fingertips on the ends of certain meridians all on your head and upper body.  You tap as you think about and talk about your specific issue.

EFT is really easy to learn, super effective and you can do it ANYWHERE and ANYTIME.

When you use Clinical EFT with a Practitioner you take it's power even further - to heal from the hurts and traumas of your past.  The ones that have created limiting beliefs which are holding you back in life.

 

EFT works really fast; I've helped clients clear limiting beliefs and fears in minutes rather than the weeks that some talk therapies take.  EFT calms the brain’s fear centre and drastically lowers stress hormones.  It clears negative emotional feelings your body’s been holding onto – sometimes for decades.  I’ve helped clients clear things that are over 50yrs!  Finally they're free!

These negative emotions can come from one big thing that happened or 100's of smaller ones stacked on top of each other, they usually from something that happened when you were a kid.

Your younger self created a coping mechanism to feel safe and secure when something unusual happened.  In your case, it chose people pleasing to keep itself calm and feel safe again. 

So now this is just a natural reaction, you don’t need to think about it – much like breathing or blinking.  This is why it is so hard for some people to say NO, it's feels too scary so it becomes an automatic behaviour to say Yes becasue it makes those feelings go away.  These is all controled by your subconscious -  and you can't stop it on your own.  

The only way to change this behaviour pattern is to get inside your head and tap out that pesky automatic behaviour and put in a new one.  One you’ll like this time!

 

I love EFT because you get to identify the specific events that created the negative emotions and coping mechanisms.   It shows you where they came from, with this super cool information you get this amazing deep understanding and appreciation of yourself and what makes you the marvellous person you are.

Normal counselling therapies take months, even years to get to the core of emotional issues and who wants to wait that long!!  You want to fix this now and get on with your life – right? 

EFT can do just this, as it works with the body it doesn’t force it to go where it doesn't want to.  Because of this you quickly calm the nervous system so it’s not fighting you and then sneak in and rewire the brain to respond in healthier ways whilst it’s not looking.  ​

You're thinking this tapping on your face sounds weird and too easy to work.  I know, I refused to do it at first.  You get over it quickly – now I sit outside in public tapping when I need to.

I shouldn't say it, but I really do think it's magic the results are amazing.  I've seen it over and over, not just with me but with many of my clients too.
